Baby Bouquets

You tend to get exposed to lots of cute ideas with the all the baby showers we’ve attended lately. The bouquet came while brainstorming ideas for my cousin’s shower. I wanted to make a corsage and boutonnière for the guests of honor.

I might have bought one too many socks and washcloths, so they became bouquets. Three of them made with baby socks and baby wash-cloths. One had both pink and blue socks, washcloths and artificial flowers. Then I made one pink and one blue.

I folded and wrapped the sock or washcloth at the end of a bamboo skewers and then secured it with floral tape. I don’t know if you’ve worked with floral tape before, but its got some weird sticky thing happening. It reminds me of cling wrap… really good at clinging to itself, but it won’t cling to what you want! There was much cursing for this project. I will tell you that the washcloths were much more cooperative then the socks. I highly doubt you’ll see these from us ever again.
